In recent light

We all remember the digital enhancement they made to the movie ET. They removed the guns and replaced them with flashlights. I was wondering why this guy gets to keep his gun. Why hasn't the government stripped his gun and given him a flashlight?
Could it be they do not want us to know yet? Or do they secretly hope there is a little fight left in the American People?
In a poll on facebook ( I know don't give me crap about that) it shows an overwhelming amount of people are against Obamacare. Currently as I type this it is 68%. I doubt that a majority of facebook users are republican. You can't say the reason they are against this is party line issues.
The fact that congress has ignored the American People, bought each other off and are acting like they are in complete control is why the American People are against it.
I have bought in to the fact that these elected officials do not care if they are re-elected. They have made their legacy, paid for their future and sold out the American People. Will it pass? Yes it will.
That is when all our guns will be replaced with flashlights.
It's okay, we will need them. We are entering the dark ages. As you stand in line at a government agency, or fight with the IRS about some tiny mistake either they made or you made, remember the next time you go to a doctor, your experience will not be any different.
I ask you, is there any fight left in the American People? Will we storm Washington with our flashlights and demand they listen to us? They have ignored our phone calls, our emails, our Tea Parties our Town Hall meetings.
It is time my fellow man. Time you take back your country. Restore her to her glory. Unite as American People can and let them know, they can not do this.
Join any group you can! The Heritage foundation is a good start. I am going to join any and all that I can! Take her back!

Packing on the winter pounds

Apparently all this cold is getting to me. For one thing I have not been out moving around. The other thing my body is cold all the time so it must be craving food to pack on a little fat. I am resisting this week. I have sucked at it the last 3 weeks. It only took me three weeks to gain 9 pounds. It will take me 6 to lose them. If I do lose them. My goal is to only stock the house with bad tasting food and jog up and down the stairs.
The other problem is lack of sleep. The younger of my two children does not want to sleep. He wakes up a few times a night, he wants to play or attack Emma. If he just woke up and chilled out it would not be so bad. But he wants to play and he wants someone to play with him. So that leaves me with little to no energy in the day.
I wonder if I drug myself and sleep through it if others in the house will hate me or let him know they are not going to play with him at 1 in the morning.
Today I am going to try and brave the roads and go to the library. I am stupid I know, but sitting in my house can't be good for anyone. If I were brave enough I would travel to the mall and do some shopping. I am not brave.

The Church at Parker

We tried out the CAP. Great music from a live band with very talented singers!
The Pastor is full of fire minus the brimstone. He was passionate and had great Charisma. Graham let his presence be known by releasing his high pitched squeal. The very friendly pastor let me know through his mic that they did indeed have a nursery.
The very kind lady sitting next to us led us down the hall where we handed Mr. Noisy to the very kind lady in the room full of toys.
Once seated in the Sanctuary the Pastor let us know that children's church had been canceled due to illness. Emma immediately began flopping in the seat next to me asking when the torture would be over.
So other than my kids doing their very best to drive me nuts and deafen me it was good experience. I was under the impression it was non denominational but discovered it is indeed a baptist church. I am willing to try it out a little longer, but if they try to get me to be re-baptized I am leaving. And if I am told dancing is not allowed during music time I might jump on a table.
On a side note the Pastors name is Eddie and his wife is named Linda.

Updates

I have been terrible updating this! I am so sorry! I have been steadily working on getting my house in order. It is taking so long! I decided my kids have to many toys and my husband has to many clothes.
It snowed this past weekend and we did not brave the roads to go try The Church at Parker. Next week maybe. We did however try sledding. That was such a blast! It is also a really good work out! Graham was not a fan. He did not like the cold spray of snow in his face. He gave up after 3 trips down the hill.
I did find a sled that was for babies. It said for 2 and under only! It had little straps in it. Could you imagine strapping your poor child in that thing and send them down the hill by them selves! Graham did not like it with his parents. He would freak all alone!
Emma's school is just around the corner, a little over half a mile. Every morning she rides her bike. I follow right beside her in the car (that girl is crazy it is too cold)
Every afternoon, Graham and I either by stroller or bike go pick her and ride back home. The way to school is not bad. Coming back is all up hill! My legs should be in awesome shape!
Emma started Karate lessons and loves it! I do have to say she is becoming more polite and not as willing to argue. If you have a problem with your kids talking back, Karate! It is a change that I expect from a good Karate program but did not expect it so soon! The instructors are polite and kind but expect full attention and all rules are stated once and will be followed from that point forward.
Okay got to go fix the kids breakfast!

Getting around

The kids and I decided this would be the Sunday to find a church. I looked up the Community of Christ here and was delighted to find one in Littleton. So this morning we met people just as friendly as could be. Emma met a new friend named Leah a d Graham had a ball in the nursery. They invited us to lunch and we got to know others in the church. We are excited about our new church so far!

Just a few more days

We only have 4 more days in Texas left.
It is going to be sad. We are also excited.
This may seem dry to most of you but my eyes are still
super dry from the lasik so I can not tear up.
Don't worry emotion will come from me soon.

Denver bound

So the family and I guess me too are moving to Denver. It is very exciting and stressful at the same time.
It will be neat to live someplace else, however I never thought I would leave the great state of Texas.
That kind of rips my heart out a little.
We have been working on the house, painting, putting in new counter tops and getting new carpet so we can sell it hopefully quickly. I will try to update more often and post pictures of progress on the house. I believe the transformation will be great, only sad I don't get to be the one to enjoy it.

Human Hearts do move

If you were not aware, it is possible for the human heart to drop in the lower region of ones body, and then jump in the throat and start beating again.
I was cooking dinner yesterday and heard Graham's distress call. One he often makes when he has crawled on Emma's bed and can't get down.
I heard the call and started towards her room and movement at the top of the staircase caught my eye. Graham was clinging to the railing, letting me know he had gotten up there and could not get down. Now if you know my house, you know while cooking dinner, you can look through the stupidly placed windows and see the stairs. How he got as far as he did without me seeing is beyond me!
He scaled the baby gate and had started his hike to the loft, that has yet to be finished. NO Rails up there.
I am considering plastic wrapping the stairs so no one gets up there!

Sometimes

Sometimes the bag of yogurt covered pretzels get snatched, dumped on the floor and all the yogurt gets sucked off.

I quit!

Wouldn't you like to write a resignation letter like this.
I say again, our Government should not be in the business of bailing any one out, ever!

Pray!

I am probably about to blow you all away. A man is in desperate need for guidance from our Heavenly Father. I think so many people are busy pointing fingers and laying blame, and seething with anger they forget to turn to God. I am asking you now to turn to God. Pray for our country, pray for the economy and pray for Obama, you know the Irish man in the white house. As Christians we have the power to greatly influence the economy. Trust is gone, hope is fading, and with those faith in our economy is dying. We can bring those back with a short prayer. Remind God, you want your family to succeed, you want charities to succeed, you want the country to succeed. As we look at it right now it seems things will only get worse as the Market continues it's nose dive, WE can change that! You are all being Called by God right now to drop what you are doing and pray. I don't care if you voted for him or against him, the fact is he is in office right now and we can help him to hear the whispers from the Lord to make the right decisions. We can pray for faith in our Market, We can pray for our Leaders to stop bickering and to start making differences! To work together to better the economy and for the words in the Stimulus package to have been written in disappearing ink.
Really, Please I am begging you, Pray Every Day Every Time YOU think about it!
As your spirit lifts and you feel Gods presence surround you, know you can make a difference!
Thank you for reading. Please forward this to all your friends and LET US ALL watch the Market rise with our strength in numerous prayers!

Weak Stomachs be ware!

Last night, or this morning I should say, around 12:30 Emma woke up with a really bad headache. Convinced I needed to take her to the ER I sat up with her on the couch while she moaned and cried with this horrible headache. I called the ER, called my mom, woke up Andy and he made the decision to hold off until the morning. I mean no one likes to sit in a filthy waiting room for hours so a doctor can tell you its a migraine right?
Any whoo she was calming down and only whimpering at this point (1:55AM). All of the sudden she jumps off the couch and runs for the bath room spilling a little along her way. She reaches the bathroom and having projected some of her stomach contents in front of her she slips and does a belly slide head first into the toilet. Graham who was nursing, was promptly put down and immediately started screaming. I run to Emma where she is continuing to release Leslie's dinner on the bath mat while fumbling with the toilet lock. Graham totally pissed comes at us, I run to him and put him in the crib in our room. He continues to scream, I run back to Emma who has successfully manipulated the childproof toilet lock off and spit what was left in her mouth into the bowl. It amounted to what you spit in the sink after brushing your teeth. She was covered and sitting in her own vomit. It was pitiful.
I start the bath, Graham is still screaming, I pick him up and move him to his room so he would not disturb the money maker of our house and turned on the white noise. It worked really well, he did not cry just stood and stared at the strange sound coming from the speaker. He did not go to sleep but...
I hosed Emma off and let her soak in the water for a little bit. She got out and told me she did not want to go to school, I told her not to worry. She got dressed and laid on the couch and fell asleep. Graham was still happy with his river sounds so I cleaned up the bathroom.
Don't tell Emma but yet another pair of her beloved pajama's went to live in the trashcan, those and a couple of Graham's baby towels and the white bath mat.
My mission today is to disinfect every square inch of my house. This will be difficult as I am out of my Clorox handy wipes...

Graham is ONE!

I can not believe how time has flown by! I know it goes fast but this seemed faster than Emma.
We had a small gathering of people. Graham enjoyed each and everyone of his presents!
I do not think I will even pick them up tonight! I will just leave them out so when he wakes in the morning he can get right back at it!
The controversial cake was a hit. Graham loved it! The rest of the kids giggled, one adult laughed, the others asked me what was wrong with me.
The way I see it, you give kids party's with the themes they like. Graham is not really into anything. He likes to nurse. Also I figured it a going away cake for the boobs as well. Cause boy it is time to wean!
On another note, I might have found a way to make some money on the side. Bachelor party coming up anyone?

Reducing costs with birth control per Nancy

I bring this up because I think that all people who think they are protected from STD's or unwanted births simply because they take birth control or use condoms should know!

Everything has a failure rate. You are not protected.
The odds of conception were stacked against Andy and I. At the time Graham was conceived I had two non working ovaries. Also Andy was traveling alot and we did not see each other much.
Plus other measures were in place to avoid conception. We just were not ready (in case the doctors were wrong). I was so amazed to find the pregnancy test reveal a +. Shocked, happy, scared and just plain freaked!
So you can imagine my shock yesterday when I went to the doctor yesterday and found something I was not expecting! No I am not pregnant. Very close but no cigar! I have been on birth control pills since 6 weeks after his birth. (please don't bash me I am not here to discuss the morals of taking them vs not). I took them the same time every day faithfully. We did an ultrasound and of course one ovary is shut down, not working, needs to be removed, well per me not the doctor. The other, Lefty, (fitting name) boasted a nice fat follicle ready to release a nice fat egg! How is it possible that some one with my condition could conceive 2 children, one of which we were not "trying" for and actually preventing, and now I have one healthy ovary who is ready to spring forth a third child? I blame it on Bush. He made a baby machine to collapse the economy.
I thank God for the gifts he has given me and do not regret either one of my children. However I am 31, in a committed relationship (per the state of Texas and a couple of expensive rings), I can go after Andy for child support if he ever devises a plan to escape.
The second part is Andy is a man! He loves his children and would do anything for me or them.
I chose some what wisely. Quickly but wisely. I will explain that at a later time.
So if you are under the age of 18 (not that that is a magical age but you are held legally accountable for your actions) having random sex or even what you would call "committed sex", know you are not protected. The odds are stacked against you. Pills don't work, condoms break, crabs migrate, and warts spread, HIV leads to untimely deaths, and health care costs. (come on the costs alone should scare you more than death). Nancy is not going to save you by spending all my hard earned money! So Boys get a Mag and Girls, invest in something that requires batteries to get you through those tough times. The only way you are going to protect yourself against the unwanted STD's and babies (however if you do get knocked up bring them to me, I will take them off your hands) is to just say no to a human. Remember it is still illegal to tag a barn yard animal is most states.
Flame at will.

FOUND

Two little dogs squeezed through the wire in my back yard and seem to like it back there.
We already have one dog and honestly I don't want more. However they are starting to grow on me. I have placed a found add in the Paper and craigslist.com hoping who ever is missing their pets an be united soon. If you know of anyone or the person that is missing these dogs please put them in contact with me!

Cruelty of oral health designers

Some one thought 'Hey I know lets make a finger tooth brush that is soft so when the mom tries to brush babies teeth and he bites her she will feel all the teeth!'
Its Mini Me, he's a biter.

Police Chase~

I was snuggled soundly in bed with Emma and Graham. Andy had gone hunting (last time he leaves me home alone with out ammo)
I was awoken at 3 AM by a loud gravely, crunchy sound followed by police sirens. The sirens got louder then passed my house, then they got loud again and I heard them go by the front of my house.
My interests were now peaked so I got out of bed and looked out the window. 3 police cars had the end of the road blocked right in front of my house. Other cars were slowly driving up and down the street with spot lights. Note this had been going on for a while as these were city cops and we live in the county. I then started to fear the criminals were hiding in my back yard and that they had killed my dog as he was not barking. Don't worry he is alive but I guess just really lazy. I think I need a new guard dog. I am not sure if they caught the criminal(s) but those people really left their mark for my poor neighbors. I think we should petition to put a gate around our community with giant rocks for speeders to hit instead of our property.

Walking for real

Graham is now walking, everywhere!
I went to Terry's and purchased his first pair of shoes! We got them dirty the first day!
I also purchased a harness. I know it is cruel but my children seem to have a habit of wandering away from me! I saw an officer friend of mine while I was out to purchase it and he made a face when I told him what I was getting, then he said you know today it is not cruel it is necessary.
So I have leashed one of my kids and the other is gnawing hers off. 7 going on 17.
She gets a 100 every week on her spelling tests so that should count for something!
